Description
And anyone messes with Roberson, like last year and Sandin getting pushed around, Thornton and Simmons are on his line!!

When Thornton needs a night off. Move Mikheyev up to the 2nd line LW. And move Kerfoot down to 3C to have a fast 3rd line instead: Robertson/Kerfoot/Vesey
And have a 4th line of Engvall/Boyd/Simmons. Simmons is gonna get his minutes on the 2nd PP anyways(in front of the net). And both Thornton and Spezza get a night off.

Actually, I changed my mind completely. You kind of need Soup on the 2nd Line LW to do the dirty work like Hyman does on the 1st line. I like it better now how I fixed it down below. And Simmons is still there to protect Robertson and Kerfoot is a better Center Than Thornton IMO for Robertson. Kerfoot is obviously faster

It's gonna be interesting to see how the lines shape up out of camp. Do you think they try Vesey in the top 6 or nah?

I think they should. He has the talent..!! Not everyone can play in NY. It’s not easy. There are 20 more reporters, than any other team, in the locker room every night!! And I think he breaks out in Toronto this year!! And mainly cause the locker room has Thornton and Simmons now. And Bogs. Adults he looks up too. Not his peers. He’s gonna be on his best behavior around them and want to prove he belongs. The locker room will completely change with those 3 now.

From a media perspective, it's just like New York especially for hockey. I'd even go further and say it's worse in Toronto because hockey is #1, #2 and #3.

In New York, pretty sure the Yankees, Giants and Knicks are ahead of the Rangers in media coverage.

Of course they are. But the Rangers are still huge. And Madison Square Garden is still sold out every night.. And It doesn’t really matter about popularity compared to the Knicks and Yankees. It’s the number of People in NY City. The number of papers, reporters, websites, that are all in NY. A regular, normal knicks game against the New Orleans Pelicans. There are 20-30 reports plus in the locker room. Same with the Rangers. On any other team. There is 5-10. And then multiple that by 5 for anytime they play any big team, any star player, or on National TV. And it’s multiplies by 20 when u are in the play-offs.

Kings like Matt Roy, they won't trade him unless its an offer they can't refuse. I don't know much about Lilly other than he's a player Leafs fans expected to make the team by now and Holl is a player every Leafs fan complains about when he's not playing with Muzzin.

one pairing i want to see, is Sandin-Bogosian. I feel like bogosian, a guy with grit and cup experience, could be super beneficial to Sandin's development as a player.

Sure the Leafs have plenty of media, but 99% of the reporting is "soft" reporting. Little criticism of the team and very rarely is the criticism of individual players.
So Robertson and Sandin don't get pushed around.. Sounds like Thornton, Simmons and Bogosian will be putting the Leafs on the PK a lot.
