Isles say no. Eberle has been a very good Islander, no reason to trade him for a question mark forward and a draft pick. I'm sure he would also not be thrilled to go back to Edmonton after the way they treated him.

Others have commented accurately on trades. As to the Dunn offer sheet, I'm sure that St. Louis has already offered him substantially more.

Buyouts can only occur at the beginning of the off-season. The buyout window for 2020-2021 has already closed.

Edmonton are certainly protecting Nurse and Bear. That leaves them the choice of exposing one of Klefbom or Jones, or protecting only 4 forwards -- unless, of course, they make a side deal with Seattle. But as we saw with Las Vegas, those side deals can be expensive.
