Palat is already on record that he's not waiving his full NTC just yet. So no way he's going to Calgary.

Tampa is so desperate to dump cap, you could get Palat for a 3rd rounder, however there's no way Palat is waiving to go to Canada and get taxed hard in this new COVID world which has the escrow amount of all players being juiced. Considering Florida has no personal income tax, it's going to make it even harder for Tampa to dump players. They will need to trade with the Panthers, Stars or Predators to make it the same tax situation for the player.
