How does this make them better? Trading for a guy with serious concussions issues. Then placing him on the top line. And not even wanting a RD in return.

Lol do you think Patrick is actually good? I wouldnt trade you Eller 1 for 1 let alone TML giving you nylander and a 1st. How about let revisit this trade when Patrick gets more than 50 points in a season. To be clear that’s nearly 2x his career high in points.

As a Flyers fan let me just say this is one of the worst trades for an opposing team. I think you under value Nylander and way over value Patrick. IMO I don't think Patrick ever plays again.

If dubas would ever propose this deal I would hope (since we are in the Christmas season) that fletcher would put Dubas on hold and call someone close to Dubas to get him help in the hope that it saves his reputation. It would be the christian thing to do.

I had thought of that too. I even thought of a Nylander for Konecny 1 for 1. But then I was thinking about why they needed Nylander, and instantly I thought of scoring, and thought that it wouldn't be logical to trade a scoring winger, for another scoring winger. My mind set was trade scoring for depth players and affordable players

Horrendous for Leafs. Trading a first and 4 years of Nylander, for a 2nd and 3rd rounder, one year of Laughton at very iffy Patrick...really don't know if he is more than an average NHLer.

That’s one way to look at it. It’s all hypotheticals so I guess it’s “not suppose to be taken seriously” but using logic and relational thinking helps make it more fun.
