1st off I'm a Pens but was going over NHL Rosters and thought I seen a Trade between 2 teams that would work out for Both Teams ???

BUT I could be.. Wrong, Close, Very Wrong, Kind of Close, Totally Insane, Maybe Kind of Right, OR maybe just an idea throwing out there???

Again, I am Not Sure bc I'm not a NYR or TOR fan, so take it easy on me, lol

TO Me & IMO ........

Toronto is too Top Heavy & needs some pieces spread out into Roster to be a Great & Complete Team. You are just not going to win w/ [4] Forwards taking up 50% of ur Cap, Its never going to happen.

NYR are a real #1 Center away (altho I do Love Zibby as a Great & maybe a Top 3 in NHL as a #2 Center) from being an un - stoppable Force for many years to come.

Tavares will not move his NMC clause. Dubas would never acquire a player with even a small fraction of the history of racism that Deangelo has.

Both those make this a non-starter without even taking the time to assess the value going both ways.

@Vaher28 is referring to “ a team can exceed the salary cap due to performance bonuses by the maximum performance bonus cushion amount of 7.5 percent of the upper limit”. Therefore, you’re not cap compliant by a fair bit even if you rolled over the max performance bonuses.

More precise: 81.5mx7.5%= 6.1125m max in bonuses JUST to be league compliant (so GMs don't shoot themselves in the foot and have to move players). Here, 10.0625m-6.1125m= *3.95m NEEDED in Cap just to start the season. YET realistically we'll probably need **7m in bonuses by seasons end.
Which is why we say no thank you to this cap crazy deal
