I don't hate Nylander. What I do hate is how we are keeping him over someone who can help this team.

Well Toronto's not getting Wilson or Tkachuk anytime soon. I'd rather keep Nylander than sell him off for toughness scraps.

Those toughness scraps helps you win playoff rounds while Nylander helps you to win fashion shows

Nylander does help the team. He scored 59 points in 68 games (31 of which were goals), which is very good. He also scored 4 points in 5 playin games (2 goals). His 2 goals were at the top, tied with Matthews and Tavares for 1st in playoff goals. In tight series, like overtime series, this could mean the difference between the leafs moving on or not. Toughness is great. But you can be as tough as you want, if you can't put the puck in the back of the net, you're not winning. I'm not saying Nylander's my favourite player of all time. I think he's one dimenional, and doesn't play a tough game. But he can score. That holds value. He's a good player that has a positive effect on the team. It's not even debatable. Goals and points help the team. Nylander scored goals and points. Therefore Nylander helps the team.
