I would swap Washington and Boston. Put Pittsburgh in there over the Caps

I think Carolina will be a top 10 team this year, but I don't think they will be the 4th best team. I'd put Tampa over Vegas. I think Edmonton should be on here.

I live here in edmonton, I watch the Oilers, Leafs are above the oilers. I don't know how long it will stay like that though. Can't wait to see Mcdavid/Matthews matchups in the Canadian matchups if it's happening

Edmonton is better. Better goalies, better center depth. Better defence, especially with Klefbom in. You have one better winger, but our center depth will make up for that.

I never said they were the best. They are just the best Canadian team in my opinion.

they finished a point ahead of the leafs with 1 more game played last year in a worse division, both lost in the scq mind you cbj is much better than chi, they both made adds this summer, the afct that you think the oilers adds make them that much better than the leafs proves my point

Lol what?

Andersen>Koskinen
Campbell>Smith

After McDavid, Draisaitl and Nuge, they dont have anybody

The Oilers have no defense

The Leaf's 4th defenseman is better than whoever the Oilers' 1D is

The best winger on the Oilers is Yamamoto, the Leafs have Marner and Nylander

Oilers fans are another breed of biased

Bostons gonna suck wdym. missing pasta and rat for most of the season

"most of the season" we dont even know when the hell the season is gonna start... Marchand will likely be back for the start of the year and Pasta will end up missing 20 games MAX. Will still be a top team and considerably better than the Habs

Leafs finished 13th in the league last year and traded their depth scoring for some old, unproductive guys. They got better defensively though, so the loss of offense and gain of defense should balance out. I don't see them as a top-10 team next year, there simply haven't been enough improvements.

Oilers finished 12th in the league last year and added a whole bunch of offensive depth while returning the same goaltending as last year. Their defense has improved also - they'll get a LOT more offense from the blueline and likely won't give up any more than before. The loss of Klefbom isn't really as dire as many think as he played injured last year and wasn't getting great results. Caleb Jones looks like a serviceable replacement and Barrie is a whole lot better than Benning. Net improvement.

Hard to imagine Pittsburgh falling out of the top-10 unless Malkin and Crosby miss significant time. Is that the projection here? The Pens finished with the 7th best record last year even though Crosby missed 41% of the games and Malkin missed 20%. I think you're HUGELY underrating them.

The only reason i have them this low is because I'm not sure when Pasta and Marchand will be back. Also losing Krug and Chara hurts their D but maybe Chara comes back? Only reason I see them dropping. Solid off. if pasta and marchand are ready near the beginning of the season solid goalies with Rask and Halak but we will see how their def. hold up

Im not sure how Pit will do. After trading Hornqvist and Murray, lets see how your new starting goalie does before we say Pit will 100% be a top 10 team.

And Im sorry but I dont view Edmonton as a top 10 team just yet.

They would've been better if they had started Jarry more. They won't miss Murray, he hasn't been good for a couple of years now. As it is, they started Jarry almost as often.
