The right side of Dallas blue line through their entire organization is as follows:
- Klingberg (top 5-8 RD in the entire league on an absolute steal of a contract)
- Heiskanen (technically his offhand side, but Miro does what Miro does at an elite level)
- Johns (NHL Caliber, but may never play again)
- Pysyk (6/7 defenseman)
- Fedun (6/7 defenseman)
- Honka (currently a fringe 3rd pair defenseman in the NHL)
- Dawson Barteaux (AHL level prospect)
- Cecconi (AHL level prospect)
There is no shot Dallas moves Klingberg, who is on arguably the best contract in the NHL, & rolls with one of Pysyk or Honka in their top-4 behind Heiskanen. Value-wise Klingberg for Nylander has arguably been about as close as I've seen in a 'Klingberg to Toronto' trade...but those trades didn't also involve one of Dallas' top prospects (Dellandrea) and a 1st Round Pick.
Dallas doesn't even let you finish the offer before they hang up the phone. The value isn't there, they don't have the RD depth, and they don't have the cap space to even entertain this kind of offer.
