what if jack johnson just completely turns his career around and becomes a steadfast, penalty killing, physical defenceman or something

Deangelo is probably playing on the Left side, been discussed a lot by Gorton and Deangelo. Quinn really likes Kreider and has played him on the RW before add to that Buch plays really well with Chytil, I would switch them.

I'd love to see the Rangers pick up a guy like Vatanen on a cheap 1 year deal to bolster up that left side.
Yes he isn't the best defender, but he can move the puck and he has some experience.
Right now that left side is a gapping weakness on what otherwise could be a great team.

There are barely any jobs left at this point and only a few teams have cap space or cash for that matter.
I think guys like Vatanen are going to be desperate.. Where else could he get a top 4 role on an NHL team right now?
