I think you misunderstood the article. Krug did return to the bruins after fielding offers from the rest of the league. Bruins didn’t offer him a contract. They made him an offer the previous off season. He said no. When he said no there was no point after where krug had any sort of offer form boston.

There’s just no real way to make a logical argument that the bruins were interesting in retaining krug (i will say that I’m sure even they had their price, but it wouldn’t have been reasonable).

They didn’t offer him a contract. They didn’t want the player. There just isn’t a lot of wiggle room to make your argument there. It’s nonsensical.

no where in the article does it say he went back to the bruins after fielding offers. in fact it says that when he received the offer from the blues and didnt have an offer from the bruins he had to jump on it meaning he didn't go back to the bruins to see if they would offer the same.

it doesnt matter at all that the bruins never gave him an offer after their original offer. their original offer was the same AAV as what Krug signed for.

your interpretation of what the player said after screwing the team he played his entire career for is braindead and assumes that the bruins management are morons wanting to give up a top 20 defenseman for nothing

It’s just not possible to deal with someone that forms their opinion without information, and then throws aside all logic to avoid changing it. Good day.
