Description
This is why we got Forbert, Thompson and Toninato...Hopefully...lol

I can see Perfetti and Lowry switching in games that we can't match Lowry's line with the opposing 1st line

I honestly think they signed these guys to play, they weren't signed strictly to sit in the press box and only play if there was an injury, Toninato would've been the 13 or 14th forward but Forbort and Thompson were signed to play.

Thompson was but if Perfetti isnt playing in the OHL for a bit, I can see him coming in to play low mins...I can't see Perfetti playing every game though...Thompson would take his spot. As for Beau and Forbert, they were signed to play but if Heinola and Samberg can come in and play, they are dropping.

Yeah but I'm thinking they may leave Heinola in Finland to slide his ELC another year and let him play big minutes, as for Samberg we'll see, I originally thought he was promised a spot on the Jets but now with everything being so screwed up and it sounding like there will be an AHL season I won't be surprised if he ends up with the Moose and after the traffic accident he was in playing in a less pressure situation might be the best thing for him and his development.

Also I think they do want to keep Niku to expose him to Seattle and he's no longer waiver exempt so that may be a factor as well.

This is kinda pending on a taxi squad or not...

I can see Heinola staying in Canada after the WJC, if he wasnt playing, then I could see that, that he stays in Finland but...

This is when not having exhibition games kinda sucks.

Why is it depending on a taxi squad, the Jets have 8 dmen already and enough forwards.

When is the Finnish league supposed to start back up?

Seems wasteful for the Jets to blow ELC contract years on a condensed season. Perfetti, Samberg and Heinola may get to see their 9 (or whatever pro-rated amount they are allowed) games but I can't see any of them sticking with the club for the "full" season.
