Good fit and good return for Cirelli if Tampa wants to sell him. I still can't wait to see what the Lightning do with all of their NMCs and NTCs.

I mean. Cirelli might want a bigger contract for 5 years. He might be reluctant to sign in Pittsburgh to play 3C when he just played 2C for the champs.

Love the idea. If it actually happens then Idk.

A few things:

1. Cirelli probably won`t sign for 5 years. Sign him for 5M for 2 years and then he can even be 2C in two years when it`s likely Malkin is gone.

2. Tampa probably chooses to keep Cirelli and trade others. If they can`t do that then this is possible. But I think it`s likely the Pens would have to give a bit more to entice them to do this deal instead of trading someone else.

Cirelli is the type of 3C we need. It would be great. But not gonna happen. If TB lets him go, if would be a big mistake.

I mean at this point you could bit 2nd round value on an OS if they really wanted him. It's not like TB is in any place to match currently. The cost of moving cap out to keep him, might not be worth.
