Initial Creation Date: Dec. 10, 2020
Published: Dec. 10, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Probably the best offer the Penguins can offer that would somewhat makes sense for them.

Probably doesn't make sense for Vegas but moving Pacioretty in general doesn't make much sense either.

I think Pacioretty makes a lot of sense for Pittsburgh. If they do make this trade though, this is them going all in.

Sure he makes sense for us... But for Vegas?? I'm not sure if this offer gets it done but its about the best we can offer without potentially ruining our future even more than it already is by moving a prospect we can't afford to do so.

I agree that this isn't going to happen and frankly I hope it doesn't. We need Fleury back and get consistant goaltending. Also stronger dman.

Meh, change the 2nd to a 1st and Vegas says yes. GMJR clearly hates having to spend day 1 of the draft worrying about making a pick. Might as well go all in and let the next GM worry about the future.

We don't need Fleury. I love him as much as anyone but we do not need him.

We don’t have the room on the LW. And he’s too expensive. Guentzel is a LW. His strong side. He’s not big enough or strong enough to play his weak side. He has that eligibility b/c we have no right-handed shots and he plays the right-side, RW, on the PP.

Wingers on there weak side have to carry the puck up the ice, with their stick in the middle of the ice and don’t have the boards and their body to protect the puck. On their strong side, defenders have to reach around or go through the offensive players body in order to get the puck. Offensive players, usually use one hand(the hand closest to the boards and fight the defender off or protect the puck with their free hand. You have to be big and strong to play wing on your weak side. Or use the boards super well. Like Ovi is super good at it. Big and strong. Right-handed shot and plays LW.

And the advantage is, u have your stick in the middle of the ice for your shot. That’s why it’s easier for a wing to play their weak side on the PP. they get that shot advantage.

But Guentzel is not a RW, so we have Guentzel, Zucker, McCann, all on the LW. And Tanev and ZAR too. And if Poulin is ready.

Pacioretty just doesn’t fit, and too expensive. And taking on Fluery would be a mistake IMO too. IMO, An advantage we have is our goalies don’t count a lot against the cap. And if Jarry plays anything similar to last year we are good!! And DeSmith is a capable, NHL back-up. He’s done it, he’s proved it. His stats prove it. And if Jarry plays bad. We are F-Ed anyways cause the Pens are committed to playing him. But our defense and defensive system in front of him is really good. Jarry will be fine!! Will be As good as last year IMO.

I would disagree the team has gone down hill since he left. We haven't had consistant goaltending in a few seasons sure Murray, Jarry and DeSmith all had their hot streaks but it just hasn't been enough. Fleury was our guy for so many years and when a high calibure goalie like that leaves it just changes our whole team and frankly I think thats what happened. Mixed with Kessel issues of course, but yeah thats just my opinion so don't take it to seriously haha

That is way to much reading for me. Just read my above statement.
