No way does Shattenkirk sign for that little, And besides he wants to play close to home near New York City. Can't see him agreeing to sign long term with Toronto.

While I agree he won't sign that deal, all the "(players name) wants to play close to home" is very often wrong.

Why trade Gardiner, an NHL Dman for so little (if it all). He has two year left on his contract And Komarov, for a 6th rounder? Wouldn't he be better as a Leaf? Why trade Soshnikov? And Streit?
