You can probably get Hoffman without giving up Armia as a cap dump. No way he signs more than 5 million especially on a 1 year deal. Gms view him as a power play specialist and not much after that

Why not? Armia only has 1 year left. Play him there as some great depth for a playoff push. If he doesn’t like it, he doesn’t resign and we use Ylonen or Poehling the next season. A team adding Hoff and getting rid of no one gives you 3 lines that will put up 50-60 points and a 4th line that is solid defensively and can easily put up 30 points.

You technically could since Byron , Weal and Kulak make a combined 6+ per season. But Hoffman won’t be getting 6. If he was, he’d be on a team rn. I’m expecting around 3.5-4
