not gonna lie, a bit disappointed that Poulin fell to the 4th line in scrimmages and didn't make the cut but there's literal NHLers on the team so.....

hopefully now he can make the NHL team bc the Q may or may not be able to play consistently.
if there's a taxi squad he should def be on it...

I'm pretty sure he would either have to stick with the NHL or go back to the QMJHL. I'm pretty sure he can't play in the AHL because he's under 20, so no taxi squad, and he can't switch between the NHL and QMJHL mid season

I'm actually surprised he didn't make the team and a guy like Dylan Holloway did. Don't get me wrong. I like Dylan Holloway. I just didn't think the coaching staff for team Canada would elevate NCAA time vs their own camp/scrimmages.

There is no doubt he should make the team for at least a 9 game try out. They ain't got nothing to lose at this point and it doesn't cost them anything.
What's his hurdle to get on the ice. ERod or Sceviour? I'm not sure anyone can legitimately make an argument he shouldn't get his shot this year.

It's harder for physical players to "stand out" in exhibition games/practices or whatever you want to call them. They aren't trying to kill their teammates. When the puck drops for real it's a different thing. It is what it is. Doesn't really bother me one way or the other. It might be for the best to be honest with you. God knows how they are actually going to run this. Teams from all across the world showing up in the middle of a pandemic. I have my doubt if they even play.

If you mean as a healthy scratch that is always on the NHL roster then yes, Poulin can do that. But if you mean taxi squad as in they will be moved back and forth from the AHL to NHL, then Poulin cannot do that since hes ineligible for the AHL (unless its a conditioning stint after an injury)
