Jets haven’t really done anything wrong to laine. They haven’t played him on top line which historically performs better without him.

Orrrrrrrr we just follow the media which has stated that Jets asking price for laine is ridiculously high. It’s clear they want a haul for him, which is fair, guys scored a ridiculous amount before the age of 21. He’s also like the face of the franchise in Winnipeg, him and scheifele. So I don’t blame Jets fans when they want a lot for laine. It makes sense that Chevy wants a lot too, apparently he got some really good offers from teams, but turned them all down. Obviously fans of the teams will be biased, like you’d be trading rakell or drysdale.

thanks for your critique, I'd use different words next time

just tried to point out there's something wrong if a top player doesn't want to stay part of his drafting team

such a team deserves to loose him for nothing

I'm a Jets fan and I agree with this, if the smallest market team in the league don't realize what they have in Laine who's easily their biggest and most marketable star they're total fukkin morons, should just sell the team and stick to running an AHL club.

Connor, Schiefele and Laine were on pace for the best seasons of their careers until the Eakin trade.

I get it, his main knock is he wants to play with Scheif on the top line, at Wheeler’s spot (our Captain) so good luck, besides breaking up Conner-Scheif-Wheeler line would be a bad move anyway and his effort level is questionable so doesn’t exactly make him a team favourite

But the rumours died down a lot after trading for Stasny and drafting Perfetti so we’ll see

But can’t say I blame him, ever since he was drafted he didn’t have a decent center to play with (Little and Laine just never jelled) only with Scheif and Stasny he and Ehlers didn’t have to carry the line

Were they together the whole time? Ive always seen more wheeler when lineup fully healthy. Mind you I don’t get 25-30 jet games where I am

For most of this past season yes, they were doing far better as a trio then most realized.

Oh good to know. I recall laine having chemistry issues with those guys previously.

To lump everyone into "jets fans" isn't right. This site is full of different offers that vary in value.
Laine, polarizing as he is, is 22 and has scored 138 goals in 305 games. The guy has value...like a lot

A little harsh i think, but after the 2018 playoffs the jets should've focused on getting Laine a C (or playing him with Scheifle). Let the kid play in a situation where he can succeed. At least the team cant be criticized for not trying.

I just feel like he's the biggest star they have, if they don't realize that they're morons and is typical Winnipeg small city thinking, loves hard working plugs like Tanev but a skilled player like Laine is meh, don't need him! Trade him!!
It's such a dumb mindset and frankly embarrassing.
