Bolts are still better and Flames reject that anyway.

Depends, depends on how good Rask is and what Tampa does, but if these teams played right now with these rosters it would be close

Not even sure that team makes the playoffs. That realignment, Krug gone, Pasta out for a while and Marchand may miss time... good luck against Car, Pitt, Wash, Phi, NYI. Plus Rangers are growing. It's going to be the toughest division I think

A bunch of salary castoffs probably don't interest Calgary. And you've given up scraps for a top pairing guy in your lineup. I mean come on, two of those guys BOS would give away for anything.

BOS does have oodles of cap space *(and huge holes) to fill with both their goalies and 2 of their centers all UFA next year, but Im not convinced that defense does the job this year.

Pastrnak is out 2-4 weeks and that's if the season starts on Jan 13. Bruins have enough RWs and Marchand will miss 3 games at worst. It will be the best division but Bruins can match these teams, if not be even better.

Hanifan is listed above as the 1st pairing and in trade you've given Moore (salary dump) and Ritchie, who has some value but not much. Most BOS fans would include Ritchie just to move moore

Alright but Hanifin isn't a 1st pair guy. More chance Grzelcyk plays with McAvoy to start than Hanifin but it doesn't make Grzelcyk a first pair D, it's only the role in the lineup.

I agree, but that offer for Hanifan, who is a top 4 defender is weak, and it does nothing for Calgary. Moore is a cap dump and adds negative value, I like Ritchie (who was moved into the other deal) but his value is neglible, maybe worth a good 3rd and certainly Kase needs a change of scenery, but his value isn't high right now...

But overall, those pieces do nothing for a capped CGY team.

Kase is rumoured to be traded for Hanifan and the third is just so that the Bryins can dump moore Calgary essentially stays at the same cap and they swap and under performing 2nd pair defensman for a top 6 forward and third pairing d man and a third. Maybe Bruins have to put a second instead of a third but this isnt a bad trade

Not a bad trade, but I don't think calfary wants any of those pieces, and I tyhink you've been generous about their description. Kase certainly didn't look like a top 6 forward, and could be a rather tricky expensive re-signing and Moore is a cap dump. You're getting by far the best player in the deal and making up for it in volume. Moore has negative value and CGY doesn't need a 3rd pair LD.

The quality from BOS isn't there and the need for those players/positions isn't there for CGY.
