Not really clear what you're asking here, but a team's captain has no real hold on whether I like that team or not.

But if NSH had to select a new captain, I think Forsberg and Johansen would get some consideration -- but it's gotta be Ellis.

Sharks would be tricky. It probably would go to Hertl or Kalrsson. I think Hertl, because he has been their longer, and would be a transition figure to a new core of the team.

Agreed. Honestly, for Leadership, it should be Rielly from what I've seen of the players and being a spokesman. Best with the media and the players but I don't know the locker room so...

Ya that's the angle I see for Rielly as well. Longest tenured Leaf, best D-man, well liked and respected, good with media.

I'd go Matthews just because he's the top dog. Best player on a star-studded team and its not really close. Good 2 way game, well liked and respected, fine with the media as well. He's the go-to guy in pretty much any situation.
