Ya know, thinking about this a little more, this could just be the first step in that direction, they just don't want to hire a new GM in the middle of an economic crisis across sports. Holding out hope for it.

I'm good with this, but I already know I'm in the minority with this next sentence. I think Bowman's one of the better GMs in the game. We focus a ton on the negative and tend to lose sight of not just the positive, but also the overall impact. Panarin is a good example of this. Yes, the trade was not a good return for Panarin, BUT we got him for literally nothing and he could have gone to ANY NHL team...so no matter what we got...it was more than nothing and thus Bowman get's a Plus in my book. 30 other GM's missed on signing Panarin. Bowman got him. Another good example is Lehner. Everyone calls for Bowman's head because we didn't extend Lehner. Ok ,well we now have Commesso AND if we're being honest with each other...we weren't winning the cup last year. It's arguable on whether or not Lehner would have even seen the ice in the bubble.

Yea I don't mind Bowman as President of Hockey operations but I wished they stripped him of his GM duties and then hire a Ron Hextall or Dean Lombardi

I’m gonna just say it like I’ve been saying all this time: this team seriously has zero accountability. Also, bowman has much more than even nine lives.
