Created by: Sidstick87
Team: 2021-22 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 13, 2020
Published: Dec. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
__________________________________________________

This is Part 2 [2021-2022] of my 2 year Penguin's Plan

IMO- This team is actually "BETTER" than the Part 1 Team

FORWARDS :
- Line 1A ------ 59 ~ 87 ~ 22 ------ Sid & Jake could be even better w/ the add of the Perfect Winger for #87 in Fiala
- Line 1B ------ 67 ~ 71 ~ 64 ------ Geno w/ Granlund & Rakell for a 2nd strait yr could be a nitemare for opponents
- Line 3A ------ 19 ~ 88 ~ 42 ------ Gaudette takes that next step & looks like a Top 6 C w/ 2- Top 6 Wingers in McCann & Kappy could be a better 3rd line
- Line 3B ---- 29/21 ~ 53 ~ 13 ---- Thee NHL Best 4th line Returns w/ Teddy B - Turbo - Carrier w/ [21-Poulin] pushing for job.
** {All 3 of the Top lines OR Top 9 Wingers could be mixed OR changed in a number of ways} **

- H/S Forwards ----- 37-Laffy is a every position fill in & great bottom 6 guy. ~~~~ 41-Clendening is a perfect Bottom 6 R-handed Center & RW back-up.
- 1st Call Ups -------- 21-Poulin / 57- Angello / 23- Turgeon / 26- Ritchie / __- O'Conner / 94- Gruden

DEFENSE :
- Pairing #1 ------ 8 ~ 58 ------ Still a great Top pairing w/ Dumo & Letang
- Pairing #2 ------ 28 ~ 6 ------ The future #1 Pairing of Marino & Pettersson
- Pairing #3 ------ 9 ~ 62 ------ [9-McCabe] & Montour could be a steal as a 3rd pairing - both good players, stuck on a bad team for a while now.

- H/S D-man ------ 2-Ruhwedel ---- The best #7 in NHL
- 1st Call Ups ------ 7-Dahlstrom / 73-P.O. Joseph / __-Maniscalco / 52- Woo
** {Gives P.O.J. & Woo more time in AHL} **

Goalie :
- #1A ------ 35- Jarry ------ Jarry will be an established legit #1 Goalie
- #1B ------ 31- Hill -------- Adin Hill will be pushing for #1 spot, thats how good he can be
- #3A ------ 32- Stolarz ----- Stolarz 1 of the best #3 Goalies
- #3B ------ 1- Comrie ----- Always liked Comrie since his draft yr.

      I'd rather keep rusty.
Fiala is the wrong guy to play with Sid anyway. Sid can not be the biggest player on that line. We've seen this show before. The other team bullies the forwards, knocks them down all over the ice and sid has no one to pass to.
It doesn't work. He's too small.

Why is everyone giving you obvious W's. They don't like you and want you to lose, somehow even more after these trade offers

I hope you know that there is virtually no difference between Fiala and Rust in size. Of you want to say Rust is better because he had more PPG with an elite center, that's fine. Just don't expect an overwhelmingly positive reception

So far off, but so good for a laugh. I actually did laugh really hard a this. I mean they’d have to add like 3 1sts for min to let him go. But damn it was funny

      Rust doesn't play with Crosby.
Dude maybe you should know something about the team you are going to go off talking about like you're an expert.
Rust plays on Malkins line. Period. He does not play with Crosby. His whole point here was Fiala should play with Crosby.
      So just delete yourself.

I know Rust plays with geno but you're pretending like any of these options have much, if any size over Fiala. So any line combination you can come up ends up with Crosby having "small" linemates.

Literally, his biggest options in this entire ACGM are easily Kapanen (6'1" 187) and Rakell (6'2" 198). Everyone else is practically the same size as Fiala (5'10" 193). So the most weight you can possibly gain is 5lbs.

My point was that the Pens are not sacrificing size in this trade, no matter who he plays with. And that you shouldn't expect everyone to agree with you not wanting that trade as the value is most definitely in Pittsburgh's favour and the only thing Rust has over Fiala is that he is righty and already apart of the organization.

I'm not pretending anything. I'm telling you facts. You put a 5'10" guy next to crosby, and much like they did Jake and Sheary, the other team will knock them down all over the ice and take away anyone for him to pass to. Period. End of story. We have seen this **** for 2 years now. So let me know when you are done with your make believe bs and ready to come back down to reality.
It's why they went out and over paid for a 6'1 guy to play next to him. Because they needed someone of some size and speed who can at least attempt to fight through it.

As I said before, I'd prefer to keep Rust. And Fiala is the wrong guy to play with Crosby ANYWAY. As in it doesn't F%%%%ing matter what the trade is. He has no business on Crosby's wing. Why that is so hard for you to accept is beyond me.

Call it a small line all you want, Fiala is heavier and stronger on his feet than Kapanen. Not to mention, more talented too. To me, having the more talented line, even if it means sacrificing some height is worth it.

Btw, why are you comparing Sheary to Fiala. Fiala is superior in every way other than he didn't play for the Pens before.

So while I get your point, and I don't disagree with it in a general sense, the options available don't really favour you as much as you'd like them. Height isn't the only version of size.

And while we're still here, I agree that you shouldn't be looking for a guy for Crosby when you have Kapanen. Not because of size, but instead because you already overpaid for him to play with Sid. However, I'm still team Fiala when it comes to which one of these two should be playing on the top line.

I usually agree with most of what u say on here but Fiala is one of my Fav players in NHL

I really like Fiala and have considered Montour, macabe, glendening, Gaudette, granlund, rakell before....

Yah, Im a Big, Huge, Ginormous - Rakell & Fiala fan

I also think Gaudette could end up being a great #2 Center in a cpl yrs or at worst a perfect #3

I've always like McCabes play & looks like he'd fit Pens system nicely

      Not even close for Fiala.

Yeah things have changed since Granlund was moved for Fiala. It's not close at this point.
