I’d say the biggest downgrade would have to be Toronto to Cleveland tears of joy

Nice idea, it would come down to the arenas with the best TV setup.

My guess would be the Canadian teams head to their AHL cities, CGY- Stockton, EDM-Bakersfield. But the WHL cities are interesting too.

I’m guessing if it’s same divisions, might be a case of going to shared buildings and facilities, wpg to min, edm to Vegas, van to la, tor to det, mtl to ny, ott to buff, depending on facilities.

And you gotta assume the best TV setups are cities that have NBA teams, but no NHL teams like Portland on here. Portland has the Moda Center and wherever the Winterhwaks play

Problem is wpg is wpg and tor is tor, mtl is Laval I believe and not sure on van or ottawa

The Winterhawks split their time between Moda and the older arena.

I've watched some Stockton Heat highlights over the years and it doesn't look to me like it would be capable of broadcasting an NHL game.

I don't understand how the raps are able to draw fans in tampa either.

Florida state law allows for it

Tv viewership will be tough all on the east coast, canucks playing in the middle of the afternoon local time doesn’t help them either

Can’t stray too far from their local time zones

Probably but it wouldn’t be a smart business move, it’s like putting the Canadiens in California, that would tank their
Viewership being so late for every game locally

I think Montreal would want to go to Florida, as close to Ft Lauderdale (Ft Quebecale) as possible.
Hartford would be a great market for Toronto though.
