According to @Lyle_Bubas, the Leafs sports science team have been able to rejuvenate the bodies of older players such as Spezza by making them quicker and stronger compared to their usual declining selfs. Maybe they’ll be able to make Thornton, Simmonds & Perry somewhat impactful again.

they kinda did that with ennis as well

they've got some pretty top of the line facilities, some amazing doctors/scientists and nutritionists etc.
