Projecting forward, I'd probably take Turcotte ahead of Rielly, but all in all its a good list.

Yeah it’s really close between him and Hanifin for me

The way I kind of looked at it was a mix of now, the future, and how good a player would have been when they called it quits. I could see turcotte maybe edging out rielly but Morgan has been a pretty good defenseman for the leafs and will likely continue to be for a while.

Nah. The guys ahead of him are likely to have more of an impact when they get to the NHL level in my opinion

How can Sanderson possibly be so high? He's never even touched the ice... better than a guy that put up 27 and 29 goals in the NHL the past two seasons and was nearly a PPG in 2018-19 -- Lindholm? Shouldn't use players from this last draft -- waaaaay too early.

It’s a projection. Sanderson will likely be a really solid NHL defender, and that was likely a 1 and done season for lindholm in 18-19 if I’m being honest

He got more goals the following season and his best ever playoffs this year (small sample size, but still). And a lot of CGY players were underwhelming last season, so it seemed the team as a whole was down. He should have a bounce-back year, along with Gaudreau and Mohanan too.

I could see it. Yeah we will see, it was really close between him and hanifin, but the 3 guys ahead of them I think are going to be really good players

Well it’s hard to say, he hasn’t played an NHL game yet (i think). So at this point it’s hard putting him anywhere higher than last to be honest. Even dal Cole has made some decent contributions to the islanders

I love Hayton for what he did at the WJC but I think if he ends up close to as good as Lindholm has already shown he is, Arizona would be thrilled. 25+ goal fringe Selke candidates don’t grow on trees, Lindholm should easily be 3rd on this list. I’d personally rank the bottom 5 as Hayton Turcotte Sanderson MDC Juolevi, it’s difficult to argue they’re better than established successful NHLers when they have yet to play a game/many games. You can’t always project everyone as their ceiling, as is obvious from MDC and Juolevi, not everyone reaches it.

I can see your logic and it makes sense, but I always like to take the more optimistic approach. Every player has a chance of busting for sure though I can see that

Lindholm should be 3rd... Even if Turcotte pans out as a 50-60 point center Lindholm is still better soooo

Who knows, I am pretty high on turcotte but I could see the argument for him over Sanderson and maybe even hayton.

is it me or is Rielly starting to become one of the most over valued players on this board.

Currently projecting him as a 2nd line player. Idk this is what I have to go on. I don't follow his career closely

He played in the playoffs but he's gonna have a regular role this season so we'll see
