    Sorry Jets decline. If Laine gets traded they need a minimum top 4 defenseman in return. Ghost is not that.

    There is the possibility that execs around the league see the issue with Laine outside of his scoring, and just aren't willing to give a top 4 dman. This is a pretty solid package, and there's a chance you just lose him outright for nothing, or give him away for pennies on the dollar like we've seen happen so many times before, (ROR, Stone, Thornton, etc., etc.). If I were the Jets, even if it's not this package from Philly, I would be seriously considering any offers coming in before next year.
