Description
We’ve seen all the Johnson to Detroit trades along with Killorn to Nashville. But here I will be exploring trading McDounagh and Cirelli, which are two key players but the Bolts aren’t “paying” for either of them to leave

If the lightning retained say, 1.5 million i think that’s a fair deal.

I would be fine moving McDonagh if I were them but I'd keep Cirelli. Maybe trade Killorn or palat instead

I don’t think that Chicago would want Cirelli, as crazy as that might sound, they kind of have their own version of Cirelli in Dylan Strome. So they probably would think that getting Cirelli could stall his development.

McDonagh is signed for 6 more years at $6.75M and all those 6 years will have him playing on the wrong side of 30. In a flat cap reality for the next 2-3 years, this is a tough contract to move. IF Boston was interested, and that's a big IF, I can't see them giving up that much for it.

I thinks it’s probably fair if the Bolts retain some of it

That would make it better for Boston, but Tampa has such a tough cap situation that retaining anything would be difficult for them. They're hoping for a white knight in Detroit, Nashville or NJ.

Puts Boston over the cap, either retain or take Moore otherwise no.

Can’t see Bolts moving Cirelli.

Chicago already has three centers. I don't see them trading for a 4th. Then there's the whole trading away Reichel thing...I don't see that happening. It would have to be a swap of strome+ in order to CHI to do it. Just because the WJC have Dach at wing doesn't mean he's going to play wing in the NHL...he didn't play wing for the Hawks. Strome actually went to wing before Dach did.
