I don’t understand why people are going to think they are going to be good. Bad center depth horrible defense. They made no improvements this offseason.

Shattenkrik won the Norris?? How would the ducks contend. Gibson is a stud but other than that they are underwhelming.

They think that just because Laf is on the team now they are all the sudden god like. However that defence is still pretty bad besides Deangelo and fox.

And they only have one reliable center to play with him. Strome and Chytil aren’t centers I would want a first overall pick rookie to play with.

They have two good goalies. But have horrible depth.

Who can you definitely say is better than the ducks in their division than VGK and COL? STL probably but they lost their best player and Tarasenko is out for a while still I thought. The rest of that division is a toss up for 4th.

I would probably put all the other teams ahead of the ducks, other than maybe LA. But who knows things could shake out weird in this kind of div.

VGK and COL are in the same tier. STL below them and everyone else bunched together after that. SJS and LA were the 2 worst teams last season. LA did nothing to change that and SJ is banking on Dubnyk to be better. MIN got worse this off-season down the middle and Who knows what AZ will look like. The Ducks didn’t do much either but have the best goalie of the bunch. To try and decisively say ANA is the worst team in the west is quite a reach.

The Sharks were worse last season and are trying Dubnyk as a saving grace. The Wild got drastically worse up front. Who’s their #1C? I have no idea what AZ will look like this season. So again I ask, who is definitely better than ANA?
