I don't think he's signing with the penguins.
My guess is who ever is bidding on Hoffman, the loser signs him seconds after the Hoffman deal is announced.

This makes sense, especially since it would force Kapanen to the 3rd line where he would likely be more useful

I think Grandlund has the ability to get BOTH his money and to win...he signs with a bottom feeder and gets traded at the TDL with 50% retained.

Kapanen is a real good play driver but I can't see him meshing well with Crosby at all. I think that experiment last 3-4 games and Kap moves down to 3rd and just runs show there.
