Description
If Panik plays well this season, this could be a solid team. Great top 6, solid third line, above average fourth line. Defense could be shaky, but there’s enough bodies to be swapped in and out that something should work well.

this is the type of signing that would infuriate penguins fans. Because every penguins fan wants to see them sign him.
Luckily WSH won't sign him, they most likely will have McMichael competing for a role

Malenstyn won’t be in the mix. Torn achilles. I would like to see them add Haula but don’t think they will.

Caps will need to sign a vet goalie -> If they don't, there won't be enough goalies for Hershey with Copley on the taxi squad.

But if somehow Haula would be signed, that would be awesome.

I don’t have a source or quote for this, but I think I saw that the caps were letting McMichael take one more year before being put in an NHL spot. Maybe he makes the team out of camp, but I don’t know. Figured I’d try with the cap space.

I think copley should be the third string based on past performance and there’s no real point in adding another veteran. Yes you could argue a guy like Miller or Howard would be better than Vanecek or Copley, but I’d really rather just see them run the three internal options and sign an AHL goalie for the bears.

I mean if he doesn't make the team then he sits all year right?
I mean they can't even go out side and skate because of the Nazi Canadian police, let alone get rink time anywhere.
I think those things are the final decision makers on it. How does a player improve with no ice time. At which point what is the point of making him sit for "another year".
I think they should play him. He should get at the very minimum a 9 game try out. That's true with all guys teams know have the talent. A 9 game try out doesn't cost the team anything.
And it's like 1/5-1/6 of the season.
