Description
If you can't dump em, bring back something in return that fills a need.

Trade JVR and changed for Myers to play RD. Leave him unprotected next year.

Use the a similar type trade to get Connelly who is no Nylander or Laine in terms of goal production, but he does provide a 3rd line vet option to somewhat help in that area.

Leave Voracek, Myers, Connolly unprotected next year for Seattle expansion. They'll take one of them. Likely Connolly which will open up cap to resign. If you can't trade Beagle Then you buyout Beagle's final year next season.

How does the Vancouver trade help the Flyers? Myers is worse the JVR value wise. Plus we just lose Myers in the expansion draft next year.

Opens up cap to sign the many impending RFAs

Dunno if it's the best way to do that ultimately but

That move might be kinda clever but I don't have the brain energy to go through it fully at 4am, either way gotta unload one of those big deals somehow 🤷‍♂️

We're not in desperate need to get out of those contracts. It'll be tight re-signing Sanheim and Hart next year but still doable. If we're really trying to get out of the JVR contract, I'd rather give Seattle a first or high end prospect to take him rather than acquiring Tyler Myers. If they want to get out of Ghost, they could retain some salary and move him for a late pick. All good teams are going to be in cap hell. That's just the reality of things especially now with the flat cap.

Don't think Florida or any team has interest in the Ghost at 4.5m. Seattle certainly has no interest in taking 6m Myers in the draft..

Myers would cost an asset to get Seattle to take him anyways. You get it sir.
