Yenno, as a Jets fan I would take that trade, especially with retained salary (idk if Chicago would do that though). Normally I probably wouldn't think of taking a 37 year old with 3 more years on his deal at that price, but Keith hasn't slowed down as much as others at that age and is still producing well. I like it.

I don’t Think committing to a serious rebuild is the worst case scenario tbh. Staying middle of the pack (like Minnesota) is far worse. Hawks future looks much better after these moves

I'd actually love that trade for the Rangers if we could swap Miller for Robertson or even Lindgren.

Rangers cup window should be opening soon, Hawks are heading towards a rebuild so no freaking way Trouba is waiving for Chicago. And Tyler Johnson is no longer on the market with Kucherov out JBB is going to need both Johnson and Killorn.

While true, they're still very much against the cap. If someone else gets injured or ill and they need a short term replacement they may not have the space available. Maybe trading Johnson isn't the answer but I'm also not convinced TBL can stay put even with Kuch out.

You sure having Breadman and Kane on the same team won't mess with their cap? Look at Toronto. They're stuck in cap purgatory. They are too good on paper to lose and too cap restraint to do anything to improve. NYR might find themselves in similar boat. It's kind of happening with Chicago and their two big contracts.

I can't see Winnipeg giving up Roslovic to get stuck with Keith's contact.

not if Trouba comes back the other way. And i think NYR would jump on the change to dump his contract anyways if he's willing to waive
