I wouldn't do Suzuki for Nylander straight up.

Habs traded one of the 2nd round pick they had this year for the 2nd of Tampa next year and an other pick

As a Leaf fan, I would take that trade...especially with that retention. Byron and Armia are handy plus a potential future star in Suzuki and Leafs gain cap space. I'll take that for Nylander and his 7m X 4
Montreal seems to have their wingers in long term, in Gallagher, Anderson, Toffili and Drouin, need a centres in now in the future

Off topic, but with the Marlies in the same city (negating most Covid difficulties in player movement) I can't see the Leafs sticking high end prospects on the taxi squad to waste away. That could end up being a complete waste of a developmental year.

If the AHL has a season Liljegren and Sandin will dominate on the farm and get called up if injuries happen. Although the squad does have much better depth now. We may not even see Marincin suit up once this season.

I don't hate Leafs players, I like some of them, doesn't mean I'm going to overpay to get them.
