Ive been wondering the same. I heard rumours he was headed out to either Van or Calgary, but they needed to create the space, but that doesnt really make much sense. He did sit out the "return to play" so maybe he isnt interested in playing until he sees what the new season looks like

I like all your PTO's, those would be my predictions as well except I would also add Dale Weise to that list perhaps instead of Lewis (although I still wouldn't mind Lewis).

I’ve thought about that too. Unfortunately, he has a little one with a respiratory issue. This season is more risky than the bubble. Won’t blame him if he sits out.

I didnt know that, but for sure...it makes more sense to stay at home with your kid then risk it. Hopefully, a vaccine is out soon and there is no risk of bringing it home. At that point...sign with the jets haha

I can't see NSH trading Kunin after just getting him

Kunin can fu*k off and you'll need to add a 2nd to Perreault.

Maybe these guys haven’t been signed for cap reasons? Gotta wait until Little is on ltir and it’s like the Hoffman thing in STL?

I was on the fence with Weise and Lewis as well. I just thought Lewis brought more playoff experience to the table. Lowry only because of the family connections with Dave and Adam.

That's why I threw him at a team that was desperate for players right now. I would settle for less in return because Perrault is just taking up space and money in my thoughts.

Exactly! I figured they would sign Joel (Lowry) for the Moose so the whole family could be in the same organization and I opted for Weise simply because he is from Winnipeg and would be a welcomed addition to the locker room (whether that be for the Moose or Jets).

Grabner was another PTO I was thinking about with his connections to the Moose from previous years. The guy is a fitness nut and would bring some energy to the team during the shortened training camp.

Chevy did say that he has a few PTO in the works. I can see Hamonic playing it safe until all the protocols were set. I can see them signing a deal like Hoffman's so the Jets can use the LTIR properly.

But spending big money on a guy that blocks development of younger players is a bad thing. Don't get me wrong...I'd take him and put him on the taxi squad, but it comes at a price...and not a cheap one either. The Hawks aren't in business to do the Jets favors.

That's the other I was going to mention!! Started his career in Manitoba with the Moose (2.5 years) and seems like a great Target for the Jets.

Maybe the Jets would be willing to eat half of his paycheck to make the favors mutually great for both teams.

I think that could help, but it still misses the point. Perrault is going to be on the taxi squad....so it's the Hawks just eating cap/salary. Which is ok! But it'll cost WPG something. The Hawks aren't sending anything back. If the Hawks are eating $2M...then I'd probably reference the Lehner trade at the TDL where TOR retained 50% (but that's at the TDL so 50% of 50%...I.E...25% = $1,125,000) So a 5th rounder would turn into sending the Hawks a 4th. I'd also bet a lot of money that in COVID where cash is king...Wirtz/Bowman will be asking for more.
