Long term outlook

Description
Roslovic believes himself to be a top 6 guy and he would be on a few teams. Perfetti falling to #10 for the Jets closed his last avenue to grow into a top 6 role with Winnipeg. His trade request is far more about a bottom destiny than the Jets organization. I like the D and still believe that Niku has the potential to grow into a powerplay QB.

Lots of cap space to plug holes with UFAs should guys like Vesalainen, Torgersson or any of the D prospects stall in their development.

This description is very wrong, it's been reported that Roslo prefers to play center, he knows the coach won't give him that chance and Roslo knows his career is in the toilet playing with Lowry and Copp who are total stonehands hence the trade request, the Jets should sign Roslovic and make him 3C, just more mismanagement by Chevy and Maurice, I can't blame the kid for wanting out.

Jets are stuck chasing the dream from 3 seasons ago when Copp and Lowry made one of the most effective shut down lines in the league. Teams always have a hard time coming to terms when something like that disappears.

It has more to do with Maurice and his 1970’s beliefs. Like yeah I get it, Winnipeg is not the best city to live in. However, to have this many players leave or express a desire to leave over the last couple of years shows that their is some flaws in the Jets organization right now. To me, there is no doubt in my mind that is Maurice. Not saying he would be getting top 6 minutes if we had another coach either, but at least another coach would play the bottom 6 for more than 8 minutes a night, and encourage them to play hockey that goes with their style, not against it

Description wasn't too far off your perspective. Rosy always wanted to be the #2 guy to form the 27-28-29 line. Even changed his number to make sure Maurice could see it daily. I think he was willing to grow his game and try to prove to the Jets he belonged there. By drafting Perfetti and bringing back Stastny, the Jets organization sent Roslovic the clear message that they don't see him as 2C now or in the future. I've put him as 3C where I agree with you he belongs on this roster. He wants more than 3C. I'd love a bottom 6 of the 2015 line (Harkins-Rosy-Appleton) and Copp-Lowry-Vesalainen/???.

I really think he'd be fine with being the 3C or at least 3C to start/prove himself for a year or two, really don't think he has some demand or expectation of top 6 minutes, idk where that narrative came from, it's just the knee jerk reaction I guess.
