it wasnt about the cap, at all. they werent willing to give him a prominent role and he wanted to play minutes

This makes zero sense. You think he would rather leave boston, move during a pandemic, and probably play a limited role, than just play a limited role in boston?

They didn’t want him at all because their GM is laughably bad at his job

I want to understand this.
You think that his options were:
1. Stay in boston, but with a more limited role.
2. Move to a new city for league min, probably still have a limited role.

Really? Seems pretty clear if those were his two options he would have signed with the bruins 6 weeks ago.

I think it was more the bruins decided to not sign him and play younger players. They showed they had interest to the media but ultimately decided to not sign him. He wasn’t going to sign to sit.
