No worries for the mass ping, this was great (yk besides having the islanders miss the playoffs.) Effort was amazing too

What a god send. Their team is totally illegal lmao. Last season it was Callahan, now Kucherov. They may even be able to trade for a guy like Palmieri at the TDL now. Something just seems fishy about the Kuch injury though. He didn't get injured on a party boat, it was obviously during the playoffs. They obviously just postponed his surgery to save their team for another year.

They are well over the cap, they cant accrue cap space at all for the deadline.

They’ll get under the cap though and eventually it will add up. Maybe not to Palmieri but they’ll have wiggle room

On the expansion draft simulator his NMC was an NTC at draft start. Not sure if they got that wrong though but I trusted it

No they are legally under their adjusted cap, but since they are actually above the cap they cant accrue cap space

Sorry for mass ping, but I put a lot of work into this and put it on the forums because of mods being on my ass for all the links at the top being in AGM and I knew I shouldn't have. Just want some more discussion. Won't mass ping again.

Hey, it's all good if you do the work use the ping for what it was made for! Thanks for including me

Agreed, anyone who gets angry and a 1x ping where someone deletes the names so no one can re-ping and gives us quality content doesn't deserve to be on this sight as a respected poster and don't deserve your ping any way. It's one notification, easily deleted and not an annoyance at all. Thanks for your effort and the ping!

Usually when I see posts that are paragraphs long, I skip them. This one, however, was very well thought out & articulated. I love seeing how the wheels turn in other intelligent hockey minds.

Nice work, lots of thought put into it. That said I don't agree on a number of things but I do not think anything is stupid wrong here. Problem with trading Kane is his giant contract, it will be tough to make a move work, that said I think they will trade him.
In your reseeding where Philadelphia vs. Avalanche turns out different. Just the way the Flyers play I think the Avs would possibly even lose that series.
Still I like the way you put your thoughts out there, nice job and well thought out. I'll eve say thanks for the ping.

Super neat post

I'm a big fan of William Eklund for the upcoming draft and with his production seemingly sustainable (one of the better P/60 rates in the SHL so far... ) well

Should he be up there in the top group after Power?

Thanks, honestly, I appreciate you disputing something in here. I like friendly hockey debate. I just think the Avs are too talented to lose to anybody other than TB. They have better star forwards, better depth, better #1 d-man, better depth d-man and they are tougher. They also will have home-ice (I believe there will be fans in the stands come playoffs). Where Philly has a leg up is defensive forwards, defensive systems and Carter Hart. That could steal the series. I don't think it's unreasonable but I do think it's unlikely. Philly may have trouble scoring goals on Colorado and I just think Colorado has too much firepower and depth that eventually they will get the right matchup and prevail. But I wouldn't rule out Carter Hart

I think he could be. I really like him too and I think he's very close to #3, maybe over Beniers in a mock draft to Seattle, but I really liked Beniers at the WJC. Maybe it'd be different if Eklund didn't get corona but he did. I think Power is the #1, Lambos is the #2 and anything from 3-9 is debatable. You may be able to move Wallstedt up to 3 as well. I'm adamant Power and Lambos are the top 2 and it's not unreasonable to have anybody else anywhere within that range. It's quite possible to make a case

Totally agree, that's why I hope it happens. It will be great!
