Guerin trusts Johansson can be that top-6 guy for this year. It's for one year only, in the worst scenario. I think Wild lost the trade but I understand why he did it.

Its an L no matter what but I get why he did it. Trade the 35 year old slow as molasses center for the faster, younger (not young) and position flexible guy to try and find a piece to pair with your new shiny Russian (potential) superstar.

It makes sense in theory, especially when you get the value right. But That's the issue, Guerin didn't get the value right in this one.

In this one he failed. But I think, as a whole, Guerin has done a very good job in Minnesota.
