Team: 2020-21 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 31, 2020
Published: Dec. 31, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Little is done. He retires and takes over the coaching job from PoMo (wishful thinking)
Trade Roslo to FLA for Borgstrom and a 2nd. Fresh start for both. At this point Roslo has proven more so added a 2nd to balance out the trade
Peg trades for Erikssons disgusting contract and gets Hoglander and Vancouvers 1st in exchange (top 5 protected)
Frenchie gets bought out
Heinola plays in Liiga playing big minutes while gaining size and developing his defensive game.
Green to Ottawa for a late pick. Fresh start for a guy that has tons of talent and seems to have gotten over his injury bug.

Let me know if values are off or other suggestions.

Canucks have no need to move Eriksson now especially if it's gonna cost Hoglander and a 1st

Kings would take LE for a 1st alone so I don't think they'll be making that deal presented above.

I've posted the same Roslovic trade so I think it's fair,
Van won't give up that much to move Eriksson, it's too late to do a buyout so Perreault remains, think Little would make a great development coach with young centers.

Cole Perfetti is nowhere near NHL ready, His skating still needs tons of work. Probably at least 2 to 3 years away yet.

The Sens must be at capacity for guys named after colours. They've already got 3 Brown's and a White, there's no room for Green too.

Rough times for Green, hope he can get healthy, but it won’t be in Ottawa.

Figured for him to get in his 5 games to see how he would do. Def needs a year or two (prob 2)

Back in junior the sky’s were the limit for this guys. Drafted early in the entry draft, tons of skill, bomb of a shot and can move the puck. Injuries caught up, hopefully he can pull something together

LA is willing to take a 6M cap hit for 2 years for a 1st? It cost Toronto their 1st for them to dump Marleaus 1 yr contract. That ended up being Jarvis! Vancouver should pay more for 2 years of Erikssons contract, especially in this ****ed up flat cap hell

We don’t have to move Roslo. He can sign or sit for a undetermined time. Borgstrom is definitely a step behind Roslo. Roslos made a bigger impact in the NHL. I like Henrik, but there won’t be a 1-1 swap

Yeah i can definitely see him getting his 5 games in, just to see where he's at in his development.

Maybe I’m mistaken but I thought a buyout window opened up following trades in the off season.
There were posters a little while back discussing an Erikssons dump. Figured this was close to what it would cost. Marleau took a 1st (Jarvis) to dump his 1 yr contract

He will get his games in, maybe buy a nice truck with the money but he will be OHL (doubt there will be an OHL season so AHL/Europe) bound following that for 1 or 2 years.

The trade makes sense so what would be the add from FLA? 1-1 doesn’t work so a 3rd? Another prospect or B6/Bottom pair roster player?

Don’t think that enough. Roslos at least made an impact in the NHL while Borgstrom hasn’t. The difference is more than a late pick. I’d do Roslo+ for Weegar if you wanted to shake it up

Not really. That pick could be between 15-20 and everyone knows that was a bad move by Dubas. He was desperate to move Marleau, the Canucks aren't desperate to move LE at this time.

lol, bet u wouldnt say that if the Wings drafted him but hey.. if it takes a bit longer dont mind the wait, worked out well with Scheif besides the worst thing u can do to a prospect is rush him

personally see a year in the OHL then a stint in the AHL... but skating never was the reason most people had him at 4th in their mock drafts smile
out of all the prospects taken at 4-12 he's the best fit to our team in terms of what we need, so pretty darn happy here

I was exctatic when Quinn and Rossi went. That meant Lundell (more NHL ready) and Perfetti (higher ceiling but needs more development time) were left available. Either one would fit exactly what we needed. Speaking of Detroit, I’m surprised they didn’t go Drysdale.
I don’t think there will be an OHL season. I just don’t see Ford/Ontario allowing that. I’m hoping that the CHL and AHL can come to terms to allow CHL players to play in the A. Otherwise send him over to Luuko to play with Heinola.

I forgot to mention, great title for this post, if Chevy doesn’t start winning some trades and drafting better past round one he might start getting this nickname deservedly thrown his way... 😃
