This lineup is a good way to let Barrett Hayton develop without overbearing pressure.

Protected in the Expansion Draft: Garland, Schmaltz, Keller, Dvorak, Kessel, Crouse, Larsson.
Exposed: Pitlick, Fischer, Hayden (plays a dozen games).
Exempt: Hayton, Soderstrom.

You should probably be warned that Johansson needs to play 21 NHL games this season or he becomes a UFA next offseason.

Seems like legit trades, the negative I have is more on the team in general. I look at this team, and I just don't see it. They have some nice players but they all feel like pieces. This team IMO lacks a real core. I really would like to see this team gutted, which would be difficult since Arizona isn't really a hockey hot bed.

I don't think Johansson would be a long term asset for the Coyotes, both Adin Hill and Ivan Prosvetov are better prospects. It's moreso just doing Johansson a favor since the Sabres bringing in Raanta would leave us with too many goalies in the system. And it gives the Coyotes a solid AHL goalie to split time with Prosvetov.

Yeah, but the cost would be too high and I don't think Arizona is likely to trade him unless it's a real overpay.

He was available at the draft, reportedly for two 1sts
I wouldn’t wanna do that, but i would pay more than Johansson & a 2nd to get him for sure
