It’s not about ‘need’ - it’s about making the forward group one of the most difficult to play against in the NHL. The top 6 is deadly scoring and the bottom 6 will grind you to death.

I think it’s an overpay for pld but u wouldn’t see me complain if the deal was made. Top 6 looks fantastic. The cap would be ugly tho in 2 years with necas and pld needing new deals

If they would do Necas, Nino, and something, I would strongly consider it. Not sure. I would definitely put Trocheck on the first line with Aho. Make a position-less/ line and allow Aho to play more wing. A Svech-PLD-Dzingel 2nd line would be good imo. The bottom 2 lines would be strictly defensive though.
