Hallander will be a LW in the NHL and mostly plays LW. Hasn’t played Center in awhile.

abramov could slide to 3C , Abrusezze could slide to 4C, Hallander at #4 LW and Korshkov moves to RW

Ya, however it would be worked out. He’s not a Center. I’m from pittsburgh and everything I know about him and read about him is that he plays LW and will be a mid 6, bottom 6, LW in the NHL.

Moving Muzzin OR Brodie would make way more sense.

They'd have to get them to waive, but yeah, assuming Rielly's contract ask isn't absurd, that'd be the way to go.

No team has to make a move over the next two years if all of their prospects magically hit - but they never do - and in this case, if the league becomes a league where physically is completely irrelevant.

They might be able to move muzzin if he waives his NTC, it’s going to be extremely tough to move Brodie , who’s due 7.5 mill in his age 34 season.

Rielly probably gets 8.5 mill x 7-8 years.

It's a modified no trade so moving Muzzin won't be difficult but I think finding savings elsewhere will be how they make it work. Moving Kerfoot, finding savings in net and also very likely losing Hyman. Either way, despite everyone constantly saying Dubas can't keep his core he has so I am not worried.

Yeah, that's a wrinkle with the whole thing. Due the the salary deferral that came with Covid, players were more interested in making the actual dollars in the later portions of their deals. A lot can change in 3 years though, so while I think it would be easier to move Muzzin, for sure, I think there's a solid possibility that they could move Brodie with relative ease if they wanted to.

With Rielly, again that's an 'a lot can change' scenario, but I expect that that number is pretty close.

Muzzin has a full NTC for the next 3 years. Losing hyman? The leafs don’t have anyone else like him

Muzzin still has a full NTC when Rielly is due for an extension if I'm not mistaken.

Then we lose Hyman and find a cheaper platoon goalie option and save money from Andersen as well as likely get rid of Kerfoot as well. Lots of other moves can be made but as with everything else on this site regarding the Leafs, their young guys all will get overpaid, their depth is vital and needs to be kept and their core has to go. Rielly is not going anywhere I'd wager. Unless Sandin, Liljegren and Dermott all blow the doors off the league but I doubt it. I think all will be good pieces who will get short cheaper contracts to prove themselves as Brodie and Muzzin age out and they take those guys spots.

I agree with you in that I think it's very likely they keep Rielly, I was just correcting an oversight on the Muzzin comment.

Even with his NTC, it's not impossible they move him.
