I think a Laine for Dubois trade as a base makes sense. I can imagine that the Jackets what a top 6 c back as part of the return so maybe a Perfetti, Roslovic and 2021 1st unprotected as another option.

Laine for PLD will never happen. Columbus’s centers would be extremely week without PLD and Laine wouldn’t fit in torts system, he scores but has no idea how to do the defence.

God i want to see the Jets one happen. Just for the entertainment of Torts - Laine combo. Lol. Which do you think would happen first? Torts killing him or having an aneurysm?

I really don’t get why the Jets are the ones adding to a Laine/PLD swap. A 50 goal threat with multiple 35+ goal years are more rare than 60 point centres (a mark PLD has only hit once). Laine seems far more valuable to me.

Ya I think that package might even be an overpay. I just feel like if Columbus thinks Tatar is going to walk they might not take it.

I would assume Stastney.

The cap fits. Then, you could explore moving Laine for top pair RHD if he still wanted out and give Copp/Harkins/Vesalainen a top 6 role.

Yeah I like this one too. Young center , #1 pick and you can swap tatar at the deadline for a pick or a prospect.

If they made a trade, Roslovic going to Columbus makes sense because Columbus would likely want a center to replace PLD but Columbus definitely adds something to PLD going the other way. Idk what because I'm not familiar with what Columbus has or what the Jets need.
