lol a bunch of sh*t for a future 1C and a great tandem goalie who is probably ready to be a starter.

Cholowski is the only decent piece and that gets you probably 25% of the way with PLD. And you want Korp on top of that? Not happening.

Nope... Hirose has top 6-9 up offensive upside.. Plus the cheap cap savings of young talent & cheap vets tongelp a playoff push is enough... For a player who just made yiur team lose all leverage in any trade.. Plus you get dekeyser for only 2.5m in top 4 d..& back up bernier is cheaper than korpy & has grear numbers for being starter in NHL record worst team in last 20 years... Your cbj are coming out with nuce return plus the 2nd rd pick

Wrong many nice pieces for return if one knows what cbj needs are & it gives nice combo of kids & vets on CHEAPER deals to save cap space for more future big moves.. & more playoff depth... The only argument against is cbj at need a Center in return .. Otherwise it's solid value & depth value here for player who just took away any leverage cbj had

Wrong but ok

what part of that is of real value? some 4th liners and bottom pair D on the wrong side of 30, a backup goalie on the wrong side of 30, and two mediocre young players that project to be bottom 6 F and bottom 4 D, and a second rounder (by far the most valuable piece going to CBJ) for a #1C and a solid 1b goalie? Not a chance that I'm wrong on this one

its not even 25% of the way lol this is atricious. The 2nd rounder is the most valuable piece by a long shot

4/6 of the players are on the wrong side of thirty for 2 young players in their prime. Its a bad trade.

So this is nonsense. The wings don't really have the center to send back and the 1sts are too low. If they'd take a deal around mantha maybe. Mantha, Rass, cholo, and 2 2nds

I'm a Red Wings fan and this trade would be great for us but CBJ would not do it - not only because they are trading within the division, but if the CBJ GM accepted that trade, he would be fired. I do agree that the public stuff about Dubois did not help CBJ but he did signed a 2yr - $10 Million deal. Sure, it could be setting up for a trade but by getting Dubois under contract, it bought CBJ more time & a little more leverage (think back to when Sergei Federov held ou in 1998, signed an offer sheet, but then came back to the Wings, people thought he was going to get traded but he stayed, won 2 more Cups & played out the entire deal before leaving via FA).

For the players you got back, especially Korpisalo who has starter potential, we would be looking at multiple draft picks & possibly our 2022 1st Rd pick - keeping in mind because we're in the same division. CBJ has no shortage of Goalie prospects so Bernier is just for this year. Gagner & Ryan are on expiring deals. Hirose could not make the lineup of last year's Red Wings team that had 17 Wins. Cholowski would be value in this package but not enough. DeKeyser would have to show that he is recovered from Back surgery after being off the ice for more than 1 year, CBJ would have him for a 2nd year at $5 Million, so retaining some salary was a good move but he's also 30 yrs old. Trades within the division can happen for sure, but they are complicated because both sides want to get fair value & this current deal would be great for Detroit but very unlikely CBJ would accept it.

I'm a Wing's and I'd very much like to see Cholowski reach his potential in Detroit. I really don't think CBJ views Cholowski as the best piece in the trade. Realistically Cholowski hasn't been able to crack Detroit's line up how's he going to crack CBJ's line up. CBJ needs offense. Tied for 3rd in goals against with 183 and tied at 28th with goals for 180.CBJ is going to want the same type of player in return but if a team has that type of player why do they need PLD. This the same type of situation Winnipeg had with Trouba. PLD is 22 with 3 seasons under his belt so he needs 4 more seasons before he is a UFA and Jarmo isn't going to take anything less than PLDs full value, at least for the next 3 seasons. So short of a #1C swap PLD will be a Blue Jacket for a few more seasons.
