dont think this trade is rlly a fit. just keep zadorov and maybe one of murphy and de haan and that's the future of the defence

Murphy is 27 and Zadorov is 25 and de Haan is 29, I wouldn't couldn't that really the future, I think Toews in Ottawa could be a mentor to Tkachuk, Stutzle, Chabot, and Norris, and he could serve as captain for a few season and grow Chabot and Tkachuk as leaders for the future and help grow Stutzle and Norris as centers. Also Tkachuk-Toews-Stutzle line could be a very dominant line

I mean it doesn't really hurt there future that badly since there d-core will still look like this

I don't really see another offenive dman in brandstrom as a fit. I think a left side of Power/Hughes, beaduan, and vlasic/carlson/kalynuk is very good as it is. Toews to ottowa doesn't really make snese for a bunch of reasons too. He wouldn't waive, and even if they did ottowa just came out of a rebuild. I don't think they trade young talent for an aging and probbaly overpayed center

His "indefinite" LTIR is NOT something Ottawa is going to trade Tierney and Brannstrom for. If he were healthy or scheduled to be back 10 to 15 games into the season, ABSOLUTELY I would make that trade. The kids will learn more from Tienery than they will from a Toews that isn't there.
