No, we don't want Fox back, especially not for that. Rangers aren't trading him anyways

It’s gonna take more than that for Roslovic.

True, you could probably throw in a couple more picks and a B-Level prospect like Gawdin. But the framework is not bad.

... Rangers take that and run. Fox is good. But the Rangers can't say no to that over pay.

Fox didn't want to sign with us so we traded him.

I think it is bad tbh. The jets don’t want pieces that will help them sometime in the future. They want a top 4 defensemen now. In any kind of Roslovic trade, the jets are probably adding not the other team.

If the jets do move him for futures (ie if they can’t get a top 4 d-man for him), they will want a first. Roslovic is probably ready for top 6 time now, the jets know it, Roslovic knows it, and the other GM’s know it. If they can’t get a first, they will probably at least get a big rd prospect and a second

Remember, Roslovic has no leverage here besides holding out.

It really isn't an overpay. The Rangers are giving up the best player in the deal by a significant margin, while getting back a bottom 6er, a younger Brady Skjei, a mid/late 1st, and 2 2nds. Also taking on significant cap when they're already short on it.

You may think it’s an over pay but the same way you want the world for lindholm it’s the same here. Not to mention these aren’t the assets we’d even want back if we’d consider trading him
