Description

Saw a post like this earlier and liked the idea of if everything works out around the trade dead line go all in and trade for Tatar. Blues are in win now mode and i’d say have 3-4 years before it starts going downhill. This lineup with a healthy Vlad imo can compete with any team.

I wouldn't' be to confident about that, The Canadian division can go many different ways but if Montreal is out of a playoff seat I think this will be a good deal

Doesn’t feel like an Armstrong move. I like the idea of Tatar with ROR and Perron but I don’t think it’s necessary. Rather keep the pieces. Also yeah, I think MTL will at least be pushing for playoffs.

Not really interested in Gunnarsson. If Habs are truly out of the playoffs and they start selling, it will probably be for future assets and/or young forwards. So yay for the 1st, don't know much on Sanford, nay on Gunnarsson

I think the point of taking Gunnarsson would be to make the money work for STL. 1st and Sanford would be plenty for Tatar rental.

Like people said above, MTL in a playoff spot doesnt happen, if they are out of it though I like this deal. Good pick, big bottom 6 player and Gunnarson is just for money reasons

Montreal should accept if they are out. Not sure what the values of players are going to be like at the deadline though. Most owners probably wont want to spend in this current market so I doubt there will be a lot of action. Meaning it's a buyer's market

Yeah we probably will have to send the 1st, I think whoever we won’t protect in the ED is likely to get packaged for a rental (Blais/Sanford/ maybe Kyrou). Guys like Gusev, Tatar, even RNH or Hall could be the ones shopped this deadline depending on how competitive the teams are.
