CBJ Trade PLD

Created by: gmack95
Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 4, 2021
Published: Jan. 4, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I know CBJ wouldnt want to trade PLD to an in division rival, but I am curious on what it would cost to get him.

Pens getting him would obviously help future and current. They can insert the youth as well.

Adding a 4th round pick on the CBJ side is a bit too steep. Would you consider a 5th instead?

Jokes aside, I don't think there's a package that the Pens could offer that would pry PLD away. Maybe something centered around Guentzel, but the price would be even steeper due to the in-division component.

Personally, Id rather give Zucker in the package.

Columbus is not trading Dubois. Potentially before he was signed, but not now. It is just a waste of time to keep perusing him.

Dubois all but confirmed he wants out.

I'm sure you would, because he's a far less valuable piece. That's the same reason why CBJ would have zero interest.

He had an interview after where he was asked about it and he declined to answer. Then said that he hopes his situation doesn't affect the team ... which all but confirms he wants a trade

Two good-not-great prospects, a second-line winger and late first round pick are not enough to get a 22 year old 1C signed to a below-market deal with two more RFA years behind that.

It’s not a late first especially after you take away three players who Pittsburg will look to for high impact this year also I said it starts with that
