Dubi likely see LTIR time, so having Ryan doesn't benefit CBJ. CBJ keeps four years of control of Dubois over Monahan.

Honestly, it sounds like the PLD situation is a WHEN not IF situation so might as well sell to the highest bidder.

And compared to other trade scenarios I've seen, getting a competitive team's first and third line centre while shedding a bad contract sounds like a huge win for Columbus.

Monahan is also the type of player to show loyalty and leadership. I don't think he'd walk.
