Really? Maybe there's the injuriy bias, but I see him closer to Horvat and Schenn than to Larkin and Zibanejad

I’d bump PLD down a tier, I really don’t see him as close to guys like Kopitar/Toews/Zibanejad who are much better both offensively and defensively.

Pettersson's a tier or two high. Apperently he didn't play much at C this past season either.

Disagree with a couple of placements but overall a decent ranking.

Kopitar belongs in the same tier as Bergeron, Barkov, and Couturier.

Agreed for most. I think Karlsson should be in RD. He's better than everyone in that tier+ great offensively, strong defensively and plays well on the special teams.

I like the list, but there's a pretty notable absence. Is Barzal excluded because he doesn't have a contract?

Personally I'd put him in the lower half of tier 3, with upside to maybe sneak into tier 2 if he continues to develop

I would like to see backstrom higher but hard to argue where he’s at. Guy put up 70-80 points every years since being in the league. Hard to argue with that type of consistency

This is a pretty good list overall but I’m curious why you have Eichel over Tavares? Eichel’s career average is 32 goals and 78 points every 82 games. Tavares’ average on NYI was 35 goals 77 points. I think they are on the same level.

Very much agree with the list.
I’d have Barzal (already saw the other comment on missing him) in the tier with Dubois (at the top basically) or the “bottom” of the next tier.
Personally I’d have Hertl higher but I agree that we’d have to see how this year/ it’s not a bad tier to be in.
