Probably costs you Kakko, Strome and a 2nd at the very least. Might have to be a conditional 1st

I think that’s pretty fair

Yet most blue jackets fans say Danault + Caufield and a 1st isn't enough. Which is equal to or better than the package you suggested.

Too early to give up on Kakko. Sure he may not have had the best rookie season, but look at guys like Mikko Rantanen and Joe Thornton, they didn’t have the best first season and look what happened. Not saying that Kakko will be as good as either of them, but there’s people on here that are already writing him off as a bust.

Dubois would be a perfect add for Rangers 2c role, as long as it doesn’t cost too much. Zibanijed in a offensive role and Dubois in a jack of all trades role, with some playoff experience, could help kick off the next multi cup winner.

I agree. Kakko could/should end up being a better player than DuBois. I think the Rangers have enough prospects in the cupboard where they could do a deal without including Kakko.

I'm not writing Kakko off by any means. I'd hate to have to trade him, but realistically it would probably take Kakko to get Dubois, and we need another top 6 C badly (whereas we have an abundance of wingers).

I'd be more than happy to oblige. Getting rid of Strome is a plus for NYR imo lol

I don't love trading Kakko either but if it means getting a top center (who is still very young and has a lot of room to grow), I'd do it.
